After weeks of triple digit temps and drought, the flower population around here has been pretty slim pickin's. But a few days ago we got a spot of rain and it was just enough to revive the helenium weeds. Aka sneeze weed. Most people around here spend their precious spare time trying to eradicate them. But I'm a wildflower and herb nut who studied botany for the fun of it. I love these tuff guy blossoms that bloom from early spring til early winter. This is the first time I've ever seen them struggle to survive. So I am really pleased that they are making a comeback!
