I just signed up for Fine Art America a little over a week ago and got a new artist website with them. I am excited and hopeful that it will be a place where I can really grow my art sales. I am enjoying getting it going and already have a subscriber to my email list! So that is what this image is about, I needed a place for it to live so I can add it to my new monthly newsletter that I will be mailing out about mid month every month to update my subscribers to the new art I have offered each month and any special events or discounts. You can view my new artist website here. From there you can subscribe to my email list from the link right below my profile picture if you would like to receive my monthly newsletter.
I rediscovered my old Animoto video maker account and was enjoying revisiting the few videos I made on my old iphone4 back when it was my only internet connection. I think I might start sharing some of them here starting with this one titled "Lil Buddy" and starring Lil Britches, our sweet Jack Russell mix when he was much younger, (about 4 years ago). He is now 8.5 years old and still just as cute.
If you are looking for unique gift ideas that are not the same ol' same ol' I have some links to share with you where you can find one of a kind gifts that are guaranteed to delight and make them ask, "where do they find such wonderful gifts?"
First on the list is my Blogger blog called Zazzle Shopping List where you can find the latest collections of Zazzle products sent in by many Zazzle designers. Theses collections are put together and posted by the designers and feature the designs and gift ideas they most want you to see this holiday shopping season. I love to browse the latest posts to see what new and amazing creations they have come up with and I even post a few of my own collections there from time to time.
Next up I want to share links with you to three of my Google+ public collections that I know will help you find even more uncommon gift ideas to choose from. One of my collections is called Great Gift Ideas and is a roundup of interesting products, collections, and links to stores and sites where you can purchase or just browse. Most of them are Zazzle, but don't be surprised to find some Etsy and Redbubble sprinked in as well. The next Google + public collection is called Awesome Zazzle Stores and the title tells it all, it is a collection of links to great Zazzle stores I have found that I think you will love too!
Finally is my G+ collection called Awesome Zazzle Collections where I share all my personal favorite Zazzle collections, some are my own but most of them are other Zazzle designers that I really want you to know about! I am constantly adding new posts to these collections and each one of them is public so that anyone on Google plus can easily find and follow and share them. If you are a Zazzle designer you just might see some of your own things being promoted in one of my Collections!
Another place to find cool gift ideas is my Facebook Art promo page where I share from Zazzle and Redbubble and occasionally from other places like Pinterest etc... Likes and shares are always appreciated!
That just about wraps up my list of gift shopping links for now. I hope that you will enjoy checking them out and I know you will find things that will make this Christmas giving season special!
So it snowed yesterday (March 4th) and while letting the cat out I hurried to snap a shot of the cute kitty prints. It wasn't until I came in and looked more closely that I noticed the bird tracks! I love accidents like that! :-)
As promised here is more on duck eggs. I can't figure out why people don't like them, I have heard them say because they are "greasy" or they taste "oily"... I disagree. They do have a thicker firmer white and a lot bigger and richer yolk and a little bit stronger yolk flavor.
So far I have tried them fried, hard, medium and runny. This is probably the easiest way to tell the subtle differences between them and chicken eggs but over all with sausage and hashbrowns they make an excellent breakfast plate!
I have also tried them scrambled and they taste no different than chicken eggs when prepared this way. Even my husband liked them this way.
Yesterday I hard boiled some and added one to my tuna salad! YUM! Next I want to see if they make a good egg salad sandwich...
quiche, bacon and egg pie, etc... in baking and who knows what else??
I think the conclusion will be that an egg is an egg and a fresh egg for free is even better!
There is a sweet kid that lives down the street from me who has a few chickens and ducks that are laying eggs, and it seems I am the only person on the block that will eat duck eggs so I have found myself blessed with an abundant source of free eggs! Yay!
duck eggs do taste different than chicken eggs but I love them and now I am finding new and different ways to use them. More about this later..
This page is just for random things I have learned from the School of Life... bits and pieces that seem worth sharing and saving. There will be no rhyme or reason to the postings here and it may be boring or interesting depending on who you are and what you are looking for...you can just waste some time here and enjoy rummaging through the randomness. If you can't get enough on this page try digging through some of my older archives on the main home page because this is pretty much how I began this blog journal site a couple of years ago...this is just a back to basics page. :)
