All my life the only thing I can ever remember wanting to be "when I grew up" was an artist. Being an only child gave me plenty of solitude and time to observe the world around me. I was blessed with a mother who always dreamed of being a world traveler and kept a set of World Book encyclopedias and a subscription to National Geographic magazine so I was exposed to the beauty of the world through them. She also lived to visit museums and we lived in the suburbs of Denver Colorado where is one of the finest art museums in the country. That was a favorite place to visit for me! I think I would have been happy to live there, lol. Then a funny thing happened on the way to becoming an artist, namely, life happened. And after raising two beautiful daughters, exiting my first failed marriage, entering my second and last marriage, and just living life in general, I woke up one day and found I was a grandma to two lovely grandsons, a wife to a wonderful man, and basically happy. I wasn't an artist but I was ok with that. I never even considered getting into photography until the day my eldest daughter bought me the most wonderful gift, a Fuji finepix digital camera and suddenly I was able to channel all that pent up creativity into photographic images. Then as a sort of compensation for quitting cigarettes, my hubby bought me an iPhone and I discovered Instagram and the rest is gonna be history. To say that Instagram is addictive is the understatement of the century, as any of you fellow igaddicts can testify! So follow me on my instajourney, if you like, and I'll try to keep you entertained along the way.
