I must be wishing too hard for warmer weather to settle in because this the wintery-est February I can remember in years! But if the real weather won't cooperate with me at least I can pick and choose when it comes to my weebly world! So, with this photo I say it's summer right here right now!
They had heard the party would be starting soon... The preparations were in full swing, the maidens were donning their colorful best trying to outdo the rest! While the evergreens stood patiently waiting because they are always ready...
This is an example of some of my recent posts on my Instagram page.. I recently created and started promoting a hashtag dedicated to trees called #randombranchiness thinking I would grow it slowly by featuring photos that are tagged... And it started slowly, I didn't do my first feature until there were fifty photos tagged, which took about six weeks... Then I posted my first collage of four featured artists and in the three weeks since then the tag has snowballed into over 1000 photos and turned into a most unpredictable and amazing gallery! A treelovers delight! If you Instagram and love trees, consider becoming a part of our most awesome branchy corner by tagging #randombranchiness! Who knows I might feature you next!
This is a leftover iPhone shot from our September mushroom hunts... I've had it sitting on my camera roll ever since thinking eventually I would probably delete it... Then a few weeks ago I installed the snapseed editing app on my iPhone and I've been practicing learning how to use it on my old leftover pics like this one. I think I might be starting to get the hang of it! The original wasn't a bad photo but snapseed adjustments really lit up the colors! I like it!
I seem to be stuck on black and white! I can't get enough of this Ansel filter now that I'm starting to learn which photos it will work on. Instagram has nothing like it, and I've been trying to duplicate it in my two photo editing apps with not much success! Got close but not exactly, but I keep trying! I really love the way it makes the light look in this shot and how the details of the flowers pop! These are little purple flowers probably Johnny jumps ups rather than true violets, but that didn't make a catchy title... Lol!
Wow! Ansel, you've done it again! Just when I thought I'd seen all your tricks, there you go and knock me out again! I think I'll keep you! Lol. (Ansel is the name of this weebly bnw filter by the way, so don't jump to any wrong conclusions!) hahaha!
Here's one of the three "faces" shots that I had to choose from to post for the weekly photo challenge that my daughter and I are doing together on Facebook as a fun way to stretch and get inspired... We decided each week to alternate choosing a theme and then we each post a new photo taken that week that fits the theme. I had three options to pick from and the other two are below... I had a hard time choosing but I think of the three this one ends up being my favorite!
This is the face I chose for our theme which I also chose... Faces in weird places...
This is the third face I posted him on Instagram too! Caption read... " Axel is shocked!" lol! I was quite attached to all three so just had to post them all together here, where I can get away with it! Haha!
Well it seems old man winter saw my last post and decided to show me he still rules the month of February! This highly edited snowy landscape is what we woke up to in central Oklahoma today! For any one interested I used the snapseed app to edit the special effects into this shot.., although I got a little carried away and can't retrace the steps for you, I can say its a fun app to play with!
Countdown to spring! Just a few short weeks and winter will be done, and sights like these will be common again! It's a good thing too because I need to replenish my photo collection so I have plenty of fresh posting next winter!
Another Ansel filter success! These asters look almost as good in bnw as they do in color! Almost... But why choose when you can have both! Lol!
